TBS6916 is a DVB-S2X/S2/S hexadeca tuner card, it not only supports to receive SD/HD digital TV channels from 16 different satellite transponders simultaneously, but also supports CCM, ACM, VCM and Multi Input Stream, which is considered as a professional TV tuner for industrial-level users. When you have limited PCIe slots in your server, TBS6916 can receive more channels than the usual dual or quad TV tuner, thus it is high-minded for broadcasting system.
TBS6916 Signal Connection Mode
Mode 0 ： Default mode is multiswitch mode. The signal input can be like this:
Quattro-LNB/Multiswitch ：
In this mode, the four signal input ports of the 6916 output four signal polarizations respectively: VL（LNB0）、VH（LNB1）、HL（LNB2）、HH（LNB3）. When use Quattro-LNB , the corresponding polarization signal lines must be correctly connected.
Quad-LNB ：
Connect the 4 cables to the 4 ports of TBS6909-X directly
Single C or Ku Band：
Two inputs are enough, you just need to connect the cables to input 0 and input 2 to provide V and H signal.
In some case multiswitch have more than one satellite input, need to choose the satellite first.
Mode 1, direct connection mode
In this mode, LNBs provide signals for adapters in this way:
“LNB0” for adapters 0, 1,8,9,
“LNB1” for adapters 2,3,10,11,
“LNB2” for adapters 4,5,12,13,
“LNB3” for adapters 6,7,14,15. “
Note that the four adapters connected to the same signal input port must lock onto the same polarization signal. Additionally, adapters 0, 2, 4, and 6 control the 22kHz switch of the tuner.
Model 2， Unicable Mode
The signal from Unicable is directly connected to “LNB3″， and only this one signal line needs to be connected.
